教会とは、神がご自身を礼拝するために集められた人々の集合体を指しています。
イエス・キリストは十字架の救いによって、信じた人々を教会に結び付け、共に神を信じ愛を持って支え合い、キリストの教えを学んで実践し、世界に広めるよう命じられました。そして今も教会は全世界に広まっています。私たちは聖書に権威を置くバプテストの信仰に立っています。そしてバプテスト教会の特徴は、以下のような点が挙げられます。
The church is the assembly of people whom God has called together to worship Him.
Through the salvation accomplished on the cross, Jesus Christ unites believers into His church and commands them to love and support one another, to learn and practice His teachings, and to spread the Gospel throughout the world. The church continues to grow across the globe today. We stand firmly upon the Baptist faith, which places full authority in the Scriptures.
バプテスト教会の特徴Distinctive Principles of Baptist Churches:
- 聖書のみに権威を置く教会です。The Bible alone is our final authority.
- すべての教会がキリストを唯一の頭とし、外部の権威から独立した教会です。Every church is independent under Christ as its only Head, free from outside control.
- 教会員ひとりひとりが運営していく教会です。The church is governed by its members.
- 主イエス・キリストが命じられた２つの礼典（バプテスマと主の晩餐）を守る教会です。The church observes only two ordinances commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ — baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
- 個人の意思と責任を重んじる教会です。The church values individual liberty and personal responsibility.
- 救われてバプテスマ（浸礼）を受けた者だけが教会員となる教会です。Only those who are saved and baptized (by immersion) are eligible for church membership.
- 教会に与えられている職務は、牧師と執事職の二つだけと信じる教会です。The only offices in the local church are pastor and deacon.
- 政治と宗教は分離すべきであると信じる教会です。The church believes in the separation of church and state.
牧師紹介Pastor’s Introduction
岡戸志門（おかど・しもん）は1964年生まれ。神戸で生まれ、大阪で育つ。
幼い頃からクリスチャンホームで育ち、14歳の時にイエス・キリストを信じてバプテスマを受ける。社会人としては、建築関係の仕事に携わりながら約35年間を歩む。アメリカ転勤中に日本への宣教の召しを受け、その後、長年の仕事を辞め、米国バプテスト・カレッジ・オブ・ミニストリーへ進学。2025年5月に大学院を修了し、同年7月、妻・恵子とともに米国からの宣教師として日本へ帰国。現在、福島県郡山市の郡山バプテスト教会にて東北での宣教活動を始め、福音伝道の働きに心を注いでいる。三人の子供と、二人の孫に恵まれる。
Shimon Okado was born in 1964 in Kobe and raised in Osaka.
He grew up in a Christian home and received baptism at age 14 after placing his faith in Jesus Christ. For about 35 years he worked in the construction field. While on an overseas assignment in the United States, he received God’s call to missionary service in Japan. He then left his long career and entered the Baptist College of Ministry in the U.S. After completing his graduate studies in May 2025, he returned to Japan in July of the same year with his wife Keiko as missionaries sent from the U.S. He now serves at Koriyama Baptist Church in Fukushima Prefecture, beginning missionary work throughout the Tohoku region and devoting himself to the ministry of the Gospel. He and his wife are blessed with three children and two grandchildren.
